An extra-oral dental suction scavenges the air in close proximity to the patient's mouth. Generally we shoot for 6-8 inches. We use it during aerosol producing dental procedures to capture all the nasty stuff in the patients mouth from getting in our lungs or eyeballs. Seriously though, there are tons of stuff that dental professionals breathe in that we really shouldn't. On the short list: Amalgam vapors, particulate, periodontal bacteria, and viruses such as COVID-19.
Yes, it really works. You already likely are familiar with HVE and it's effect on aerosols. This is a very large, very powerful HVE designed specifically for the healthcare enviornment. Try it for 7 days, if you don't like it, send it back for a full refund (minus shipping). However, you can't use it on a patient and send it back, that's gross.
Most operators place it on the opposite side of the patient they are working on. If the operator is working with an assistant, the unit is positioned to the side of the chair near the patient's waist. The arm has a 36" reach. The round suction head is placed as close as comfortable to the patient and operator to capture as much of the aerosols as possible. We recommend 6-8 inches from the patients mouth.
With anything new there is a slight learning curve. We have found overwhelmingly with dental professionals that the benefits outweigh any challenges in adapting to the unit. The dentist typically does not position it, and it does not need to be repositioned throughout the procedure.

We offer a 7 day refund policy. We service our product here in the USA. Our system is simple but has everything you need for long service life and effectiveness. Most other companies don't support their products like we do.
The washable filters should be rinsed out with water and disinfectant like a 70% alcohol solution weekly and replaced every 3 months or when soiled. The Main HEPA filter should be changed every 4-6 months. The activated carbon filter (XT) should be changed every 6 months. The moisture absorbing filter (XT) should be changed every 4 months. We recommend replacing the UV light yearly.

To be eligible for a return, goods must be unused, undamaged and accompanied by proof of purchase.
For returns, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject 'Returns' and include your order number, name and the reason for the return. Seller will provide the customer with instructions where to send returned goods.
Customers are strongly recommended to get proof of postage when returning goods to avoid "lost packages" situations.
