From messy lab workflow to chairside clarity

Fewer steps between design, print, and seat.

Traditional resin printing was built for benchtops, not operatories. OCTOpod Crown collapses the parts of the workflow that slow down chairside restorative production.

Traditional Dental Printing

Conventional lab-style friction

More cleanup, more material handling, and more steps between one case and the next.

  • Vat management between materials
  • Build-plate scraping and recovery
  • Resin filtering between cases
  • Cross-material cleanup and odor
  • Lab delays for permanent restorations
With OCTOpod Crown

Chairside-ready workflow

A cleaner sequence built for same-visit restorative production instead of bench-heavy resin management.

  • Load disposable cartridge
  • Print same-visit permanent restoration
  • Remove disposable, move on to the next patient
  • No vat management, scraping, or filtering
  • No lab turnaround for the restorative case
One platform · Two workflows

Choose the right OCTOpod system.

Crown and Arch run on the same patent-pending OCTOpod platform. Start with the workflow you need today, then expand later by swapping OCTOpod modules on the same compatible printer.

What's in the box · What you'll also need

The kit plus what you likely already own.

OCTOpod is the chairside fabrication system. You provide the printer and resin; we provide the patent-pending modular cartridge workflow that turns a compatible desktop MSLA printer into a cleaner, lower-friction chairside crown workflow.

What's in the box
  • Patent-pending modular cartridge workflow for chairside crown production.

    • 12 disposable Crown Vat cartridges
    • 12 Crown Plates (one per print cycle)
    • 12 x 3 mL resin syringes
  • Full Resources hub access - Print-to-Seat Protocol, IFU, QSG, videos, troubleshooting, CDT codes.

  • From the founder + engineering team.

What you'll also need (sold separately)
  • Elegoo Mars 4 Ultra (~$199, recommended, 10-min prints) or Phrozen Sonic Mini 8KS (~$299, 25-min prints).

  • Open-resin workflow compatible with most 405 nm dental printing resins.Recommended starting point

OCTOdent recommends BEGO VarseoSmile TriniQ for Crown workflows - verified to print crowns as fast as 7 minutes on the OCTOpod system, with 10-year use-case simulation testing published by BEGO.

Clinician responsibility: clinicians are responsible for selecting appropriate dental resins, following manufacturer instructions, and using validated print, wash, and cure settings. Print times vary by resin, printer, layer height, restoration geometry, and validated settings.

  • The chairside workflow starts with a digital scan. Free CAD software options are documented in the Resources hub.

  • You almost certainly already own one (see the Bonding Protocol for the curing schedule).

  • Otoflash, or the Anycubic Wash & Cure Plus 3.0Validated by Saremco for post-curing their crowntec dental restorative resin. Click to view the Anycubic product page. - useful for bridges or top-level final cure; not needed for single-unit chairside crowns.

Open-resin compatibility

Let the indication drive the resin.
